We have tried to make The Contact Lens Shop as easy as possible to use. If, however there are areas that you do not understand you may find some clarification in one of the sections below. If you can't find the answer here (or in our FAO section), please email us and we'll do our best to get back to you quickly.
The aim of this site is to conveniently supply replacement contact lenses at lower prices than would find on the High Street and other suppliers. We are therefore assuming that you are already using a particular type and a particular brand (note that for prescription lenses we can only supply more of the lenses that you have been 'prescribed' by your optician). We sell all of the most popular brands.
To locate your normal brand:
Firstly, click on one of the buttons on the left menu e.g. 'Daily Disposables'.
Then click on the picture of the brand you normally use. e.g. 'Acuvue'.
Usually there is only one product per brand but if there is more than one, they will be underneath each other on the page. Using the scroll bar on the side of the screen, move to the product you normally use.
If you need help, or you have a question which may be covered in our FAO (Frequently Asked Questions) section,
To get back to the opening screen just click on the 'Home' button (or on the logo at the top of the page).
We sell the UK's most popular Contact Lens products, and hopefully by following the steps shown above you are able to locate the product you normally use. If you are unable to find the product you normally use please email us with as much information as you can find about the product (the details should be on the box) and we may be able to supply these too at our special The Contact Lens Shop prices.
We have taken steps to make the ordering process as simple and as secure as we can. Orders can be made on-line at a time and a pace to suit you. The real advantage of ordering on-line is that you, the customer, can choose, when to order, what to order and how many without any pressure from anyone. If you do not wish to order on-line or for some reason you cannot, we can take orders by email, or by phone (Freephone 0800 78 33 201). The phones are usually manned during normal UK office hours. Please note that orders not made through the website (e.g. orders made by phone, fax or email) will attract a shipping charge of £2.99 per order (for UK orders) or £9.99 for international orders..
The online ordering process is simple:
Select the item you wish to order
Complete the prescription information for both eyes. (If you are not in possession of your prescription you may find the details you need on the packaging of your lenses).
Click in 'Add to Cart'. This will take you to the confirmation page
To continue shopping, click on 'Continue Shopping'.
NOTE. If you think you may order the same item again, you may like to SAVE your order at this point. This will save the details you entered so that you can RETRIEVE them at a later date.
If you have finished ordering then click on 'Checkout'
Complete the address information requested You ,may enter a different delivery address at this stage.
Choose your payment method and input the details requested
The order is then complete. Print off your receipt.
Then (if we don't already have a copy) post (1 The Hidage, Worcester, WR5 2QG) or scan/email (email@example.com) a copy of your 'Contact Lens Specification' so our optician can verify your order prior to despatch. This is a legal requirement for all UK suppliers. Any site not requesting this may be operating outside the law and so you may well be risking the health of your eyes by purchasing from such sites.
After you have ordered, if you entered your email address correctly you should receive a confirmation email from us. Once we have received your order and verified your Contact Lens Specification (either because it's already on file or because you've then sent it to us) we can start processing your order. Blink and you'll miss it! Blinking is the eye's own natural way of replenishing the tear film. Use BLINK Contacts to lubricate and re-wet soft contact lenses as well as cushion lenses prior to application. Click here for more.
